P&C Community Involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Drummoyne Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association at Drummoyne Public School is a group of enthusiastic and fun-loving parents who are elected in March of each year, to act on behalf of the school community and work closely with the Principal to ensure our school is a safe, fun and supportive place for our kids. The P&C is also responsible for managing the Canteen and the Uniform Shop.

P&C Purpose
- To organise DPS community events that help us all come together and make memories our kids will cherish forever
- To raise funds for items that are outside standard school funding and that we wish to improve on, for example new learning technologies, aesthetic upgrades and improved facilities
P&C Coordinated Events
There are numerous ways you can become actively involved in the P&C or be supportive of the P&C. We understand the time pressures and constraints parents face, and acknowledge and encourage all forms of support.
Any time or skill you can offer can make an enormous difference to the success of the P&C.

Volunteer At Our School
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
Any parent can take up formal P&C roles including President, VP Canteen, VP Uniform Shop, Secretary, Treasurer, Events and Fundraising, Grants, and other support roles such as Tech, Class Parent Coordinator, Fete Coordinator and social media. Parents can also assist in informal roles such as attending monthly meetings and helping with events.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- helping out in the canteen or uniform shop for an hour
- be a class parent, help the P&C communicate with your child's class parents via class Whatsapp groups
- volunteering on sports days
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school event committees
- donate through the voluntary contribution scheme
- join the Facebook Group the “Drummoyne Public School P&C Forum"

DPS P&C Recent Achievements
The P&C has donated $225,000 in funding for new equipment and resources for the school over the past two years and has committed a further $60,000 for projects to be delivered in the future, including a new playground in North Playground (coming 2026)
Keep up with school socials, news and events
P&C Meetings
The P&C (and any other parents who wish to attend) meet on the third Tuesday of each month (during school terms only) at 7.30pm in the Library, with the Principal, which gives us a rich insight into the school, and allows us to decide on matters important to the school, the students and the greater community.
