What Drummoyne Public School Has To Offer
We provide our students with a range of learning environments, helping them stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day.
Our facilities may include:
- bright and comfortable classrooms that are resourced with flexible, adaptable, and ergonomic furniture such as whiteboard tables to encourage collaboration, creativity, hands-on learning and problem-solving. Interactive smart boards, student laptops and tablets for digital learning in classrooms that enable dynamic lesson delivery and student-teacher collaboration
- a well-stocked, engaging library for reading and research, that has a suite of desktop computers for students projects and education. Our library is also open at lunchtimes for students to play boardgames and quiet reading. Access to platforms such as Britanica,
- a range of modern technology and digital learning tools to help students learn, create and stay connected. We have access to a library of shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state. These include engaging STEM resources for coding, robotics, beetbots and other electronic kits
- multiple play spaces for a variety of play types, such as a large open turf areas for running around, that double as soccer fields with nets. Basketball / netball court, handball courts, volleyball court, cricket nets, various play equipment and natural environments for imaginative play, a sand pit for quiet sensory play, oversized chess set, as well as undercover weather safe outdoor areas
- large, multi purpose hall, equipped with a stage and sound system that is often utalised for music and performances, sport, assemblies and exhibitions
- our school has a dedicated Creative and Performing Arts classroom, exposing our students to the sound and movement of performing arts with a variety of musical instruments and resources. Our classrooms are all well stocked with art and craft supplies for creative learning incorporated into daily learning. Drummoyne Public School hosts an alternating School Performance and Art Trail each year, showcasing our students talent and work
- nearby parks and sportsfields such as Brett Park, Taplin Park
