Positive Behaviour for Learning

At our school, we use Positive Behaviour for Learning – a whole-school approach for creating a positive, safe and supportive school climate where students can learn and develop. Our whole school community works together to establish expected behaviours and teach them to all students.

Awards

Principal's Awards and Principal's Badges

Students receive values certificates from their teachers throughout the year for demonstrating our values of Respect, Responsibility & Resilience.

Once a student receives 5 values certificates, they are able to trade them in at the school office for a Principal's Award.  The 5 values certificates can be a combination of the 3 school values and come from any year the student has been at DPS.

Once the student has received 3 Principal's Awards, they can bring them to the school office and choose their Principal's Badge from one of the 3 values.

Student Government

Drummoyne Public School has a Student Government which meets regularly. Each class elects two representatives, to take their concerns to the council for discussion. A member of staff supervises, directs and organises the Student Government. Prefects are elected from within the Year 6 student body. Prefects uphold and demonstrate the school values, as detailed in the "Our School" section.
