Drummoyne Public School sits on the lands of the Wangal people on beautiful grounds overlooking Iron Cove. Our school’s prominent position would have held deep significance for the Wangal people, offering a vantage point to the waterways that provided food, transport and connection to Country. As the world’s oldest continuous culture, First Nations people have a rich tradition of passing down knowledge through generations and we are honoured to carry on this tradition today.

Established in 1886, our school has a long history of fostering a safe and nurturing environment for our students and promoting a high-expectations culture for student achievement and behaviour. Our dedicated team of teachers is committed to providing a quality education, inspiring our students to be lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

We are fortunate to have an very engaged and supportive parent community. We know that strong partnerships between our school, families and the wider community enrich the learning experience and create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone belongs. Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or joining our P&C, the contributions of our community are invaluable in shaping our school’s vibrant culture.

Beyond the classroom, our students have a variety of extracurricular opportunities to explore their interests in sports, music, arts, public speaking, debating, technology and much more. We're excited to help every student find their passion and achieve their full potential.

Like the iconic water tower beside the school, we strive to provide for, and be at the heart of, our community. I look forward to welcoming you to our school soon.

Regards,

John Nguyen
