Special religious education
The Scripture groups offered are Protestant (comprising Anglican, Uniting and Methodist), Catholic and Greek Orthodox.
Previously known as 'scripture', special religious education (SRE) takes place on Friday mornings:
- Years K to 2 - 9:30am to 10am,
- Years 3 and 4 - 10:05am to 10:35am, and
- Years 5 and 6 - 10:40am to 11:10am.
Any request for a change to scripture group should be made in writing to the Administration Office.
Reading recovery
This program is a on-on-one, every day, half-hour reading session that is designed to bring readers up to an average level.
The program focuses on Year 1 students; as they turn six years of age the students are screened. The screening is basically a reading/sight word assessment, which is neiher gruelling nor long. Parents are informed if their child is to be put on the program, and are welcome to share in some of the sessions.
