The Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association at Drummoyne Public School is a group of enthusiastic and fun-loving parents who are elected in March of each year, to act on behalf of the school community and work closely with the Principal to ensure our school is a safe, fun and supportive place for our kids. The P&C is also responsible for managing the Canteen and the Uniform Shop.
Any parent can take up formal P&C roles including President, VP Canteen, VP Uniform Shop, Secretary, Treasurer, Events and Fundraising, Grants, and other support roles such as Tech, Class Parent Coordinator, Fete Coordinator and social media. Parents can also assist in informal roles such as attending monthly meetings and helping with events.
The P&C (and any other parents who wish to attend) meet on the third Tuesday of each month (during school terms only) with the Principal, which gives us a rich insight into the school, and allows us to decide on matters important to the school, the students and the greater community.
P&C AIMS:
To organise DPS community events that help us all come together and make memories our kids will cherish forever
To raise funds for items that are outside standard school funding and that we wish to improve on, for example new learning technologies, aesthetic upgrades and improved facilities
P&C RUN EVENTS:
Welcome Champagne Night, Annual Fete (August), Father’s Day and Mother’s Day stalls, Second Hand Uniform sales, Activity-thon, Kids Disco, Trivia Night, Election BBQs.
